The USAWE 2022 Western Zone WE Championships, USAWE Western Zone Cattle Trial and the AZWEC Winter Fun at Westworld show will run concurrently from December 8th through December 11th. Eligible competitors are welcome to compete in all shows.
Competition Requirements: The Zone Championship, Zone Cattle Trial and the Winter Fun show will be conducted and judged in accordance with the United States Rules for Working Equitation, Revision 5.1, dated 1 December 2021. The rules can be found at the following site: https://usawe.org/rules. It is the competitor’s responsibility to read and understand the rules prior to the competition. To be eligible to compete in the USAWE 2022 Western Zone WE Championship and the Zone Cattle Trial all competitors must be USAWE members, with USAWE recorded horses, and have earned qualified rides as a member prior to November 15th 2022. The USAWE Zone Cattle trial is optional and only available to Levels 2-7. To earn a qualifying score, a horse-rider pair must earn a combined average of 58% or higher in Dressage and EOH (L1-L7) and successfully complete the Speed trial (L2-L7) at a minimum of two licensed shows. At least one of the scores must be earned during the current 2022 competition year. The qualifying period is December 1, 2020 through November 15, 2022. Horse-rider pairs may compete in any or all zone championships, regardless of where the qualifying scores are achieved.
To be eligible to Compete in the AZWEC Winter Fun at Westworld Show all competitors must be AZWEC members, or purchase a day membership for $15; be USAWE members, or pay a $20 fee, and be competing on a USAWE recorded horse. The AZWEC winter fun show entry form is available on the rated show tab.
